Walnut Bend is an established neighborhood of 983 homes and townhomes located in Houston, Texas, west of Beltway 8 and bordered by Blue Willow on the East, Wilcrest on the West, Westheimer on the South and Buffalo Bayou on the North.
This tranquil neighborhood was established in the early 1960’s and was featured in the 1960 Parade of Homes showcasing vintage homes with tree-lined streets and beautiful landscaping. Today Walnut Bend is a thriving, family friendly community conveniently located just 16 miles west of downtown with easy access to major thoroughfares leading to City Center, Galleria, IAH and Hobby Airports, and nearby Westchase District. Terry Hershey Park and Buffalo Bayou Hike and Bike Trails are less than a mile away.
Our residents can enjoy a large, family pool with a slide and diving board, a nearby splash pad for little ones and a gated baby pool. The pools are open from the first weekend in May until the last weekend in September. Families will enjoy our beautiful playground year round. We also offer three tennis courts for residents from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm every day.
Walnut Bend offers a wide variety of events for residents throughout the year - Crawfish Boil, Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Family Fun Day, Chili Cook Off , Holiday in the Park with Santa , Food Truck nights, Movie nights and much more. There is always something for everyone!
